Harold's Style Street Dance 1 Class Description:

This class is ideal for students with limited or no dance experience at all. Private lessons are encouraged but (not required) for students with no dance experience. Private lessons can scheduled in addition to this class or independently; this is based on the student’s preference and comfort level. The recommended age for this class is between 10 - 12 years old. In this class, students will work on learning the basic fundamentals of street dance. Students will work one combination at a time, until they feel comfortable and are able to execute moves with good timing and precision. Students will become comfortable performing dance routines in front of small and large audiences.

Harold's Style Street Dance 2 Class Description:
This class is for intermediate to advanced students. Students in this class are either promoted from Street Dance 1, or are placed in this class based on their demonstrated ability. In this class, students should already have a strong foundation in the core fundamentals of Street Dance. Strong emphasis will be placed on timing and precision and in executing advanced choreographed routines by individuals, in small groups and with the entire class. Students will become comfortable performing dance routines in front of small and large audiences.

Beginning Breaking Class Description:
This class is ideal for students with limited or no dance experience at all. Private lessons are encouraged but (not required) for students with no dance experience. Private lessons can be done in addition to this class or independently; this is based on the student’s preference and comfort level. The recommended age for this class is between 5-8 years old. In this class, students will work on flexibility, strength training, and learning the basic fundamentals of break dancing. Students will work one skill at a time, until they feel comfortable and are able to execute the moves accurately and safely. Students will become comfortable performing dance routines in front of small and large audiences.

Intermediate Breaking Class Description:
This class is for beginning to intermediate students of all ages. In this class, students will work on the foundation and the core fundamentals of  break dancing . Strong emphasis will be placed on flexibility, strength training, timing and precision and execution of more advanced techniques.Students will work one skill at a time, until they feel comfortable and are able to execute the moves accurately and safely. Students will become comfortable performing dance routines in front of small and large audiences.

Advanced Breaking Class Description:
This class is for intermediate to advanced students. Students in this class are either promoted from Intermediate Breaking Class, or are placed in this class based on their demonstrated ability. In this class, students should have a solid foundation in core fundamentals of breaking. Strong emphasis will be placed on flexibility, strength training, and on timing and precision in executing advanced choreographed routines by individuals, in small groups and with the entire class. Students will also be encouraged to take the fundamental techniques that they have learned and create their own unique routines and style of breaking. Students will become comfortable performing dance routines in front of small and large audiences.

Popping Class Description:
This class is for beginning to intermediate students with some street dance experience.   In this class the emphasis will be on learning  the techniques of popping, which involves   quickly contracting and relaxing muscles to cause a jerk in the dancer's body, referred to as a pop or a hit. This is done continuously to the rhythm of a song in combination with various movements and poses. Strong emphasis will be placed on timing and precision and in executing advanced choreographed routines by individuals, in small groups and with the entire class. Students will become comfortable performing dance routines in front of small and large audiences.
